My XBOX 360 has arrived
The last console I played for any length of time was the 8-bit Nintendo back in the early to mid 90’s. But I quickly switched over to the PC as my gaming platform and didn’t look back. In the meanwhile, I largely ignored the Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64 and Gamecube, Sony Playstation and Playstation 2, and Microsoft Xbox. I did get a chance to play a couple of games on the Xbox, but that was shorted lived.
But with the introduction of the Xbox 360 and the live component and the general improvements in graphics and processor capabilities which compared very well, at least as far as graphics go, with the PC, I was intrigued.
So finally for my impending birthday, I got me a Xbox 360 premium package with GRAW as my starter game. Let me say for starters that this isn’t as easy game to start my Xbox 360 career on, but I’m catching on.
I also picked up Madden NFL 06 as that was one of the games that I had seen previewed a long time ago with the Xbox 360 was announced. I got the game used for a fairly good price, and that brings me to the downside of getting the Xbox 360. The price. Each new game that comes out is priced at $59.99 and seldom drops below that for a long period of time, so you can find yourself sinking a lot of money into the games very quickly.
Like others, I’m really digging the whole Xbox Live experience and have created a gamertag to maybe play against other online opponents when I get good at any game.
So catch y’all in some corner of the Xbox Live world.
Cheers
