Error accessing the site

Some of my readers may have noticed a problem visiting my site from time to time. This most likely would have manifested itself as a 412 Precondition Failed error that was caused by the Bad Behaviour plugin. Ironically, the aptly named plugin was behaving badly while doing it’s job and preventing spam bots from inundating my site with spam.

It would seem that my use of an offline blogging tool which didn’t send the acceptable HTTP headers was causing Bad Behaviour (BB) to mark those requests as spam and in turn when I tried to access my website using Firefox the IP address remained the same proxy server address and in turn was also deemed spam.

Hopefully now I know what the problem is, I can find a solution. If none of you have faced this particular error and have been able to access my site without any problems, that’s great. For those that did face the error, I apologize and will try to correct this completely.
