Gas price hike
There is a Mobil station down the street from my work and in the afternoon when I was out to grab my lunch, the prices at this station ran something along the lines of $2.85, $2.98 and $3.05 for 87, 89 and 93 octane respectively.
On the way home some 6 hours later, the same gas station was showing $3.05, $3.15 and $3.25. As my car needs premium 93 octane, we’re almost approaching West Coast pricing for gasoline.
The nightly news now shows that premium gas has gone beyond $3.50 in some places. It’s a good thing I get about 28 MPG! Let’s hope that tapping into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve does something to bring the prices down to “sane” levels.
Cheers
