Bye bye Rohan Davey
The New England Patriots bid farewell to their backup quarterback Rohan Davey today to start parring down the roster to the 53 allowed players before the season begins. Drafted in 2002 he showed some promise in a few pre-season games. He played very well during his stint in NFL Europe, but with Doug Flutie on the roster and the new favorite Matt Cassel, Davey became expendable.
You never need more than 3 QBs, right?
I liked watching Davey play, but with as young a starting QB as Tom Brady, I doubt any other young rookie will be taking over the reigns of the Pats offense anytime soon.
Good luck to Davey wherever he goes.
Cheers
