Just can’t let it go

From the we-just-cant-let-it-go department comes this story about Florida Gov. Jeb Bush asking a prosecutor to investigate the time delay between Terri Schiavo’s collapse and the time her husband, Michael Schiavo, called 911 for this wife. Apparently, in 1993 Michael claimed that he found his wife at 5:00 AM, and in 2003 he claimed that he found her at 4:30 AM. Either way, the 911 call went out at 5:40 AM.

With the autopsy report being released recently, Gov. Bush is trying to see if the time delay might have caused Terri’s fate to be as bad as it was.

Can’t we just let it go and move on?

How didn’t he? He initially tried to get the intervene on the behalf of Terri’s parents when the feeding tube was removed. Only after a judge’s warning did he back down from using the police force as his personal enforcement clan.

I think he severely overstepped his bounds in this case.

But then, I think he felt quite a lot of pressure from Pres. Bush, so I imagine that he had little choice but to go through with what he was trying to do.
