No more VHS
An article says that VHS might finally go the way of the audio cassette and the LaserDisc.
Wal-Mart and Target will virtually clear their shelves of VHS tapes, except for major new releases, the chains confirmed Monday, a move that underscores the country’s shift to digital entertainment.
The growth and sales of CD’s have long overcome that of the audio cassette, and this move from Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy and Circuit City seems to make it clear that DVD’s have followed a similar path in overcoming VHS. Even though there are Digital VHS formats, I guess you just can’t beat DVD’s.
Good thing I didn’t buy a VCR after moving to my house, huh?
Cheers
