Google maps
Google launched a competitor to Mapquest and Yahoo! Maps a little while ago and did it better than both the latter websites. A unique and innovative feature of Google’s version is the scrolling map. You can use the arrow keys to move around the map. Additionally, any route you plot will be nicely drawn on the map of the US.
Google acquired Keyhole some time ago and now has integrated the satellite images into Google Maps. You can now view locations on a regular map as well as an satellite image of the location. The only issue with the satellite images are that the most recent shots could be from a few years ago. But major buildings, roadways, and bodies of water that have existed for any length of time should show up to give you a point of reference.
Google now has taken another step beyond their competitors, there’s only one mapping software for me now.
Cheers
