Republicans keep the house
The White House that is. With Ohio finally coming in with it’s count and handing over it’s 20 electoral votes to George W. Bush, his victory is sealed.
This was indeed a close election in which whoever won Ohio would reside in the West Wing for the next 4 years. But, unlike last year, the citizens of this country don’t have to wait for weeks and through legal proceedings to know who is going to be leading this country for the next 4 years.
An additional caveat to President Bush’s victory is that now the US House of Representatives and the US Senate are both under a Republican majority rule.
Only time will tell what the second term of President Bush’s has in store for us.
Check out the Electoral Vote Tracker.
Cheers
