Plugin: Word Count
See the nifty little word count and image count at the bottom of each of my posts. Here’s the plugin that makes it possible for Wordpress 1.2 and above.
Rename the file from .phps to .php before uploading it to your /wp-content/plugins directory. Then from your Admin section, activate the plugin.
From your index.php file, make a call to countwords(); to get the output.
