DLP, LCoS, LCD..?

The search for the best fit high definition television for my new home has been going on for a while. After looking at the Sony 42″ LCD TV in person and comparing it to the Samsung 43″ DLP TV, I had concluded that the Samsung DLP was the way to go, except in the larger 50″ size.

To add to the variety, in comes LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon). A technology similar to DLP with better potential.

JVC’s HD-ILA is an exmaple of a 52″ LCoS TV. It would seem that these hot displays are very tough to get your hands on. The Samsung DLP’s are already on their third generation of chips and having been on the market for a while should hopefully have most of their flaws ironed out by now.

What of LCoS? I’m not that impressed with the Sony LCD. What are you thoughts??

Cheers
