The commute from hell…

..happening every Friday. The welcoming of the weekend is heralded by the most atrocious traffic accidents, slow downs and annoyances. Every Friday, as I look forward to spending an enjoyable weekend, I have to first navigate the “commute from hell”.

The traffic starts with a few minor accidents, bumper taps and things of the sort. Inevitably, the overturned vehicle happens and quickly a 65 mph highway becomes a parking lot for miles.

Why is it that perfectly sensible drivers that traverse the same road from home to work and then back again Monday to Thursday forget how to drive on Friday??

The most annoying thing is of course the driver that figures that they will have to slow down a few feet ahead anyways, so why bother gaining any speed when there is indeed a clearing! Those are the times that I wish I had a James Bond 007 card with rocket launchers!
