‘I’m John Kerry, and I’m reporting for duty”
And so began the almost one hour speech that John Kerry during his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention last night in Boston.
I listened to the speech and felt myself nodding in agreement with a lot of what he had to say. This, I suppose, is a good sign from a Presidential candidate. This was the first public speaking that I’ve personally heard/seen of John Kerry, and I found him to be a good enough speaker to want to listen to what he has to say.
The same, sadly, cannot be said of President George W. Bush, who finds ever increasing ways of pissing me off during his speeches.
I am, however, curious as to what “Dubya” has to say during the Republic National Convention to counteract the things that Kerry did lay out.
For those of you that didn’t get an opportunity to listen to the speech made by John Kerry, you can find the text transcripts here.
Cheers.
